Landscape

Verona, WI

This project in Verona included two of our outdoor living systems… the Nutone Haven mosquito barrier system and a low voltage landscape lighting system. At the end of the project, both systems were able to work independently of each other for complete control. Our client wanted to create a total backyard oasis that he could enjoy at any time.

That oasis started with a fresh new landscape by Alt’s Operation. Check out their site here. The landscape project included two new patio areas, each with their own set of low voltage lighting. To make this space unique, our team worked with Alt’s during the construction process to make sure we had lighting cable in the proper spots. When the time came to seal up the seat walls, a set of five hardscape lights was added to each cap. Because the stone cap was black in color, we chose FX Luminaire’s “BP” fixture, powder coated black to match.

Around both of these patio areas, our team placed several Kichler brass spread lights to highlight stone steps, a concrete walkway (that had the appearance of wood planks), and several flowers. Altogether, it spread out light evenly throughout the entire space. As stated earlier, however, the lighting portion of this project was only a portion of the backyard oasis.

To keep mosquitos from ruining the enjoyable nights there, we installed a Nutone Haven mosquito barrier system that lined the outer edges. By placing the repellant fixtures a specific distance apart, the system creates a barrier of scentless, unnoticeable vapor to keep mosquitos away. To allow for total control, our team installed a Bluetooth transformer so our client could connect at any time and turn the system on.
